This body of work focuses on capturing through painting, the creole aesthetics that often includes improvised handmade signs and naive sculptures that are commonly found on puerto rican “gomeras” (tire places). After an extensive one year photographic documentation the artistbegan to collect these common archetypes in the “gomeras” paintings portraying them as imaginary colorful places using distinctive line and image language.
